Ether 12:27, "And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them." All you need to worry about is that you both humble yourselves before God (not nevessarily to each other); the rest will either work out or require endurance. :) Perhaps the weakness in your companionship will become a strength...

wow, Sis Kerry Jo and I must have had the same native companion! My own experience in northern Japan was so much like hers. Eventually we both survived and prospered. I was working in Japan years later and ran into my former companion at Stake Conference. She had tears as she said how sorry she was.
