What about dessert?

The mission president and mission mom are SO AMAZING! They made us a wonderful dinner and we had an awesome dinner followed by the Best. Testimony Meeting. Ever! The interview with the president was sooo incredible! He gave me some great advice for the next phase of my life and expressed his love and gratitude for my work as a missionary!

Could this be it?

It's a bittersweet day.

We had some good appointments this morning, then now this evening it's time to pack things up. We still have a day or two before we actually leave, but it's packing time!

I'm kind of envious of the elders, who still have another six months. But it's also kind of exciting to think about going home! Not that I'm thinking about going home... AAARGH! There's so much to do and so little time!!!!

Out of the blue...!

Here's something I wasn't expecting! We got a call today from the Assistants telling us that we're part of a special transfer. Should I be worried about how often my transfers seem to be special? I don't know the reason, but they're moving the elders out of Fourth Ward and putting Sis. Miller in for our last few weeks.

Yep, we're there until we die! (Don't worry! That's a missionary expression for the transfer that sends you back home).

Sis. Green, on the other hand, is getting a greenie who is coming down from Seoul, also on a special transfer. My little green sister is TRAINING!

Well, I've got to go pack. At least the move is only across town. And I think we can see the beach from the apartment!

Some time to think

I've been so busy, I haven't had time to explain what's going on! Sis. Gates had to go home for some reason, I don't know — some family thing. So they shuffled around a few missionaries, and I'm going to be with Sis. Gates' old companion until...wait for it...I get a GREENIE! Does that blow your mind or what?!

Time to say goodbye!

Boy, was I shocked out of my skull! Sis. Han said she loved me! Remember how when we met, the first thing she said was that she didn't like me? I guess all it took was a little bit of communication, working together — and some stupid egg dye! I'll miss her!

Who's the fairest?

Yeah, it's taking some getting used to...

I'm not the only missionary with changes. My cousin who was in Ukraine? She's been transferred to California. That's gotta be almost as weird as waking up to new hair — one day you go to bed in Ukraine, then you're transferred in the middle of the night, then you're transferred to a totally different country! Missions are always an adventure!

..and she's gone. And she's here.

OK, so first impressions may not always give you the best idea of somebody. I'm wiling to give Sis. Han the benefit of the doubt. But let's just say we haven't gotten off on the best foot. Yet.

I think I'm gonna miss Sis. Clabby!

The new comp

I'm always nervous at transfer time -- and from what Sis. Clabby implies, maybe I should be!

Transfers

I know I am SO going to ball my eyes out when Sis. Clabby leaves in a few days! I mean, I's excited for her to be a sister trainer, but she's been so AMAZING to be companions with. At least we have a couple of days to let her say her goodbyes!

It had to happen!

Just when missionary life was getting to be amazing! Sis. Clabby has been the best companion EVER, just like Sis. Bae and Sis. Miller! I don't know what I'm going to do without her!

Work where it counts, lift where you stand

I LOVE Sis. Clabby! I like the way she thinks! I need some clothes, let's go work the clothing stores. Missionary work AND shopping! Excellent combination, right?

I can't BELIEVE they want me to wait until next week to get my suitcases with all my clothes and stuff. You can tell that the APs are guys -- no WAY any female would think that was a good idea!

Saying goodbye

In Korean you say, "Annyeonghi kyeseyo" or, "Stay in peace" when you leave. I said that to Sis. Bae and to Busan.

It's kinda scary, my first transfer! I hope that I can stay in peace!!!

Getting ready

I can NOT believe how hard it is to transfer! So much to pack! So many people to say goodbye to! So much that's unknown! I'm NEVER doing it again!
