I tried taking a deep breath...

I keep praying for patience.

I keep getting opportunities to practice patience.

  1. ugh... If I was her companion, this Sister would have had the "look at your failures before looking at the others'ones..." so long ago! I can be patient, but certainly not be walked upon. You're too kind Sister Kerry Jo...

  2. Ether 12:27, "And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them." All you need to worry about is that you both humble yourselves before God (not nevessarily to each other); the rest will either work out or require endurance. :) Perhaps the weakness in your companionship will become a strength...

That's just the thoughts of this random Internet person, anyway ;)

  3. wow, Sis Kerry Jo and I must have had the same native companion! My own experience in northern Japan was so much like hers. Eventually we both survived and prospered. I was working in Japan years later and ran into my former companion at Stake Conference. She had tears as she said how sorry she was.
